Newel Hunter's acrylic paintings happen on a variety of surfaces, employing a selection of non-traditional painting tools to achieve tone, texture, scale, substance and surprise. He does not use computers to generate images or work from photographs. Instead they are the result of a highly spontaneous process, an open mind and his conviction that something meaningful will happen.
